Failure To Appear
is defined for which a defendant has failed to
appear for his or her scheduled court date.
Some citations are payable and you may simply
pay the amount due before the appearance date on
your citation. If you fail to pay the citation
or appear in court, you will be promptly
notified. Notice will be sent to the State of
Georgia's Department of Public Safety to begin
the process that will suspend your license. A
warrant may also be issued for your arrest.
Additionally, failure to appear charges will be
added to your fine amount.
